Eschmann wishes Kevin Banfield a very happy retirement
18th Feb 2026 in Dental, Animal Health, HealthcareAfter an incredible 48.5 years, Kevin Banfield is leaving Eschmann as our longest-serving employee. Joining us in 1977, aged just 16, he started by working morning shifts assembling catheters for £6 per week. Over the years Kevin has turned his hand to several areas of the company – including being part of the team that set up the original autoclave production line in the 80s, a central part of the work we do today – and going on to become Principal Support Engineer, a role he held for 37 years.
Kevin’s technical knowledge, especially of legacy equipment, has been invaluable. He has always been a character, known for his humour, gardening skills, and unwavering support of Brighton & Hove Albion.
Kevin’s contribution throughout his career has been significant and lasting, and we know he will be dearly missed. Eschmann wishes him all the best for the future.
